I believe that you can control the kind of person you grow up to be quite a bit, although it might be a bit challenging at first. When you’re a younger child, like 6-10, you don’t quite understand the concept of opinions and beliefs and that you have control over who you surround yourself with. Those first years are when your parents are the most influential to your personality and who you are. As you start aging, though, you start to gain the ability to tell apart good from bad and you can make better decisions for yourself thanks to that newfound ability. So your parents really create a base personality and when you age you tweak it so it best fits you. Of course, the things you like and the activities you participate in also help mold your personality, but that’s at any age.
