People put an eight-meter high pole fence in the river on a rainy day to catch the trash in the river but then that failed and fell over so they are hoping to set up something better to collect the trash on rainy days. people have removed 200,000 kilograms from the pacific garbage patch it is only a tiny bit it is at least 0.2% but they hope to dramatically increase the percentage of the amount of plastic removed.
