The Secret…  chapter one

     Once upon a time there were 2 twins one was named Matthew and the other Silvia. Their parents were rich snobs ,and they spoiled their kids. Then one day all their money was stolen. The twist was who stole it… Evil sky lord. Zeus’s evil twin Muez he wanted the money so he could afford slaves, so he can take over the world and make it the most evil planet around, like he wanted when he was a little kid and he would share it with his wife Godzilla. Godzilla and Muez had a daughter they named her Maleficent.

      Matthew and Silvia were angry because they could no longer be spoiled so they wanted the money back and they wanted to destroy the person who took it, so they went on a search for the person to give him or her or whatever it was  piece of their minds. They did not know who stole the money so it was hard to find the person until Silvia had a flashback of a symbol on his wrist ,so she drew the symbol and showed a FBI agent who said the symbol meant “god of the sky”. They were puzzled for a long time until they thought it was Zeus  \but they were puzzled again because their social studies teacher taught them that Zeus died in an ancient battle against his father. But his father died in that war as well so there was only one god left which meant, it was Muez! And they got super angry after hearing that. They left their home with their parents, and right when they were walking out of their home they fell into a hole. And inside that hole they fell, they found Muez’s plans. But inside that room something weird happened. They ignored the weird music. The music was getting louder and louder ,they knew something was coming so they left the hole.And then they found a pool and inside that pool was something weird……TO be Continued!!!

Encantado TDA #1

       Here is how life is like during the wet season…..

   1.)The wet season only lasts half of a year, and the rainiest months of the season is March through May. Then there’s a downpour everyday and after the downpour the hot sun comes out and burns your skin. The rivers flood and destroy people’s gardens. Water overflow the village’s soccer fields. The school playgrounds are underwater, and instead of taking a bus or walking the students take a canoe to school. People have to tie their floating houses to large trees so their houses don’t float away. On your expedition you’ll have to sleep on a jungle lodge on top of stilts. Little girls play with little real crocodiles called Caimans.

       2.) How do dolphins echolocate, and what is the reason they do it?

     They can send out a pulse of sound like an invisible beam of light but it is to high pitched for humans to hear. They are really clicks of sound that dolphins make And the reason they use echolocation is so they can see a three dimensional image so they can “see” the object’s shape, size, and the things insides.   

    3.)Based on evidence from the text, what are some physical characteristics that make pink dolphins unique?

  One thing that makes pink dolphins unique is the way they can bend they can bend and touch its tail to their nose like a dolphin doughnut. They also have very big front flippers that they can use to crawl back into the water if they’re ever stuck on land. And never really jump out of the water compared to ocean dolphins. And one really big difference is that pink dolphins are pink and “regular” dolphins are blue.

4.)Why is it so difficult to see pink dolphins? Cite as many reasons as you can read in the text.

     Here is why it is difficult to see pink dolphins, first because the Amazon river is very dark because it is stained with natural chemicals from decaying tree leaves so it’s very hard to see the dolphins. And another reason why is because pink dolphins never come out of the water only some parts come up so it’s hard to see the dolphins. And finally because sometimes you can’t tell the difference between some dolphins so you may think you saw three when really it was all the same dolphin.

5.)Why are pink dolphins thought to be mysterious? Cite some of their behaviors and characteristics from the text.

Pink dolphins are thought to be mysterious because people don’t know much about them because people don’t know this stuff, How many visit the lake, Do they stay there all year, Do they move to other lake/rivers, Are their mothers with babies among them, What kinds of fish do they eat? And why do they lay down like a dead goldfish nobody knows.

6.)Why did the author organize the information in this way?

   The author organized the information this way to make the story look more interesting and make things easier to find here is why. He did that so if you were trying to find a certain section you could find it a lot easier instead of having to read long pages just to find your topic. And with the caption with pictures you know what the picture is trying to tell you. And with headings you will be able to know what the page is about.

7.)Do you think encantado is a good name for the Amazon river dolphin? Why or why not? Use evidence from the text to support your opinion.

I think encantado is a good name for the Amazon river dolphin because  there is lots of strange things they do and and it seems like they had magic used on them because of their abilities and color. One amazing ability is how flexible they are and how they can do the “dolphin doughnut.” And how they can see a three dimensional shape of any object when using echolocation. And encantado means enchanted.
