We just completed a math unit on Measurement.  Our math class had a fun final project to complete with their group at the Collaborative Station.  Their assignment was to create a peacock.  Each student had to make 2 colors of the same color and record their exact measurement (in inches or centimeters) on a recording sheet.  Groups measured and assembled their peacocks on the first day and then got to decorate them with glitter, sequins and googly eyes on the next day.  The peacocks turned out great and are hanging in the hall for all to see.
