My book is “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote. The book is about how four family members were brutally murdered and with no apparent motive. Capote reconstructs the murder and the investigation that led to the capture, trial, and execution of the killers. This book captured my attention as he goes into the process of the investigation. One of the first things reading the book that caught my attention was who he “dedicated it to”. Capote wrote, before the acknowledgements “For Jack Dunphy and Harper Lee with my love and gratitude”. Both are american novelists, but Harper Lee’s name jumped out at me since she also wrote an american classic. So far the book is what I expected it to be, very informative and detail-oriented as Capote describes the setting.
