    Laura and Mary rushed to finish their chores.After they finished they went down stairs and told their mom,”Were going down to the banana brook”,.Laura and Mary heard the birds talking they said “La bla la bla the brook was very lovely today la bla la.Now we have to go to the brook”,Laura said.Then Laura tripped over a and rock,:Ow!”

   They followed the birds then they saw pa’s trail where he led the oxen to water.They looked at the water and went for a tiny swim on the edge of the shallow end.Laura and Mary stepped into the brook.Mary stepped right were the oxen stepped she was stuck she tried to pull her foot out “ I can’t I can’t get it out!”, Mary said “Laura help it’s stuck!”.”I’ll save you let me get a stick!”,Laura said.Finally Laura got Marys foot “My foot hurts.” Mary complained.Well you’re lucky I saved you,you don’t need to say thank you.”,Laura said sarcastically.“Oh thank you Laura I forgot.”Mary said quickly.”Sure you did.”Laura said as she rolled her eyes.

   Laura and Mary went home.Then Laura said to herself “Maybe I’ll go to the end of the brook later to day no one will know”.Then Mary said to Laura,”I want to go to the end of the brook.I’m going to ask pa to take me.”Then Mary went to pa and asked,”Can I please go to the brook and can you come?”Pa said,”Yeah maybe tomorrow when I get back from work.”The next day Mary waited for pa for 5 hours just sitting at the door waiting and waiting and waiting.Finally Pa came home.”Yay let’s go to the brook now pa please.”,the girls said. Pa said,” Where’s Ma?I think she is already at the brook.”,said Laura. “No she not she is taking a nap.”,Mary said loudly. “I’m sorry!”,said Laura angrily. “Enough girls or you won’t go to the brook.” Pa said.

Now we can go girls”,said Pa.“Let’s go now”. Said pa.Then they all started to walk out of the house and on the trail.They were walking along the trail and they saw the end of the brook.“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!Pa what’s that.”said Laura.“What!”,Pa yelled.“It’s a dr dr DRAGON!!!,Laura screamed. “Mary Laura run back to the house now!!”,Pa yelled.The next day Laura and Pa went back to the brook to find the dragon.They found the hole but the dragon wasn’t home
