Once upon a time in candy land there was a city. It’s name was candy city. It was a peaceful city. In candy city there lived a two boys. Their names were Mammoth and
Joe. One day when Mammoth and Joe were watching the news and they saw homes destroyed. The news person said, “There is a villain coming and destroying everything, but who is this villain? Nobody knows.” Then their mom said, “ha, that is just a legend”. Their mom told it was about a very big villain named Lord Licorice. He turned evil by his sister Lady Licorice. His name used to be Leo Licorice. He was so jealous because his sister Lady Licorice was the president of candy land and he wasn’t. He turned his back on his sister and became evil. “Ok kids let’s turn off the TV and have some dinner remember it’s Skittle Sunday”. said their mom. After they ate they went to bed. Mammoth said to Joe, “I hope this villain isn’t real”. Then they went to bed, or did they? Joe kept hearing stuff, and Mammoth heard it too. Then they walked towards the sound and came across something huge. It was a treasure chest. They looked inside it and they found rubies and gold. Mammoth found out that they were paper. “It looks like a trick.” Said Joe.

Mammoth found a piece of paper that said” Lord Licorices money” Joe said ”I knew it Lord Licorice is real.” “Of Course not, someone just probably just put that in there to trick us” Then they looked over and saw another treasure chest. Inside that one was a note it said. Watch out don’t get tricked, tick tick goes the clock you better prepare before time runs out, I’m not kidding it’s not a doubt, you will be. “What does it mean” Joe said “Whatever it means it’s not going to be good.” Mammoth said with a frightened face. “Let’s hope it’s good then”. Joe said “It’s not” said Mammoth. “Let’s go upstairs and get more information from the TV”, said Joe. But before they could take a step they heard that sound again but this time it sounded like help! They followed the sound again until they found a big hole. Then the sound stopped. Inside that big hole looked like dirt(Cinnamon) but on the bottom Mammoth saw something it looked like a door knob. He told Joe. “This mystery keeps getting weirder, and weirder.” Said Mammoth. “Should we investigate?” Just then they heard a voice that said, “don’t even think about it”, “mom?” Said Mammoth. “You two go to bed now!” “But” “nope no but’s to bed now”! Fine, we will go. When Mammoth was in bed he kept thinking about the poem. He had to find out more so he snuck into Joe’s room, and told him his idea. Joe agreed, but it will be hard to sneak past mother. They snuck down stairs and almost got seen, but they didn’t. When they got downstairs they looked around for more clues. At first the didn’t see anything but, when the looked in the shelves they found a flashlight.

It had a weird symbol. It was a picture of a piece of licorice. They shined it on the clue “That’s it!” Said Joe. I knew there would be another clue when they shined the flashlight they found a map on the poem. It looked like it started right where they were standing. The map lead outside. So They went outside. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking”. Said Mammoth. “No” said Joe. “There is probably going to be a treasure.” Said Mammoth. “The real treasure”. Said Joe. Just then they heard this voice say “You’ll never find it. They turned around, and then they saw… To be continued…

1 Thought.

  1. Love your story! I was reading it to Dad and we both thought it was very entertaining. Keep up the good work, buddy. Good job using quotation marks around someone’s direct words. And you also used commas before the quotation marks–I’m really impressed. Love you!
