Dylan Nolt – Physical Therapy Internship

During my internship at CPRS Physical Therapy, I have been given a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of physical therapy. My daily routine involves cleaning tables, preparing equipment for patients, and observing the physical therapists and physical therapy assistants as they work with patients.

I have learned a great deal from this experience. I have gained a deeper understanding of the various techniques and exercises used in physical therapy, as well as the importance of effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship has been the chance to watch evaluations and treatment sessions. Through these experiences, I have witnessed firsthand the progress that patients can make with the help of dedicated and knowledgeable physical therapy professionals. I have watched several evaluations, and I am now aware not everyone is trustworthy of the process at the beginning. However, after a bit of reassurance from Dakoda, they agreed and are recovering from the injury very well.

Overall, this internship has been a valuable learning experience and has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the physical therapy field. While I don’t plan to pursue a career in physical therapy, I believe that the skills and knowledge I have gained through this experience will be beneficial in any healthcare-related career I choose to pursue in the future. One other positive thing is that I realized I may want to pursue a career in sports medicine because I realized I may take more interest in working with athletes and younger patients.

In conclusion, my internship at CPRS Physical Therapy has been a valuable experience that has allowed me to observe and learn from experienced physical therapy professionals. While my job duties may seem small, they have played an important role in ensuring that patients receive the care they need. I am grateful for the opportunity to have gained a deeper understanding of the physical therapy field, and I believe that this experience will be beneficial to my future career goals.
