After Brian finds out that his mom was secretly dating another man, his parents get a divorce.  While flying to his dad’s house to spend the summer the pilot has a heart attack and dies.  Brian the decides to crash land the plane in a pond, after he swims up somehow surviving the crash, he find that his head is badly bruised and his muscles tight.  He sleeps till morning, but the morning brings mobs of mosquitoes and flies.

If I was in the situation that Brian is in I would, hunt for food with the hatchet which I think is still attached to his belt.  Then I would seek out sticks in the woodland that surrounds me, and start a fire.  The fire would be a beacon to alert people of my location, as well as heating me up.  The smoke it sets off would also keep the mosquitoes and flies away, protecting me from future attacks.

For my Genius Hour project I chose to ask the question “What happened to the Mayans after they fled their town unpredictably?”  I will also be asking “What is enough to scare a whole empire out of their own cities?”  My dream will be to organize the information in a way that I will have what I need to present a Prezi to my class.  Expect more follow up on the future of my project!!!!!

          In the article “Dream Jobs: Author,” Kathleen Duble was interviewed by Newsela.  She was asked question such as, “ What inspired you to be an author?” as well as,“What is a typical day at work like?”  She explained how she enjoys incially writing the book and she would rather go without the editing process. Duble would like to tell students who are thinking about becoming an author “The most important thing is to read all the time and start to think critically about what it is”.

We all enjoy different seasons, some are cold some are hot, but the ones we’ll be comparing are moderate.  Spring and fall are what researchers call transition seasons, the reason for this is because neither are very extreme in temperature.  The springtime is when the plants grow back and the temperature gets warmer, as well as birds migrating back and hibernation ending.  In the fall school starts, the temperature drops and the plants die.  Although during both of these seasons insects and animals are very active.  In conclusion, these two seasons are very different but the do have some key adjectives in common.

In the video “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” it said that Habit: 2 was, “Begin with the End in Mind”, which meant that at the end of your days if you were to say something about your time on our world what would you like to say?  And is what you say relate to what you are doing and the way you are acting right now?  If I had to pick one of the seven habits that would be this exact one.  But if I wanted to do that I would have to check in with myself multiple times a day EVERY day, which makes it obvious that I will forget.  Even then I think that I will see an steady movement towards that goal.  If you were to set a goal as one of those 7 habits  or something close to them please tell me in a comment below.

My Blog

So far this year  I have written 44 post although only 42 of them are published.  About 10 of them came from my own interest or imagination.  I have also received 66 comments.  And that was thanks to the visitors of my blog.   And the post that have received the most comments was my VR post.  I think that is had received so many (which was 12) because it was VR the brand new thing.  I think the post I enjoyed writing the most was my travel back in time.  Because I had really gone there and it was like a journey back in time.

My blog has been still the same format or theme but I have customized my blog and my headings.  Although I still have the notebook theme.  I like the theme because it allows me to get widgets and I can see the dates that things were published.  I think that I have enough.  Because most of my widgets are to make the readers job easier except for my pet bamboo which was just for fun.  I also have about 57 oversea visitors.  Well I could do a better job of that next year but I have only used google slideshows and docs.  

The Unlucky Fortune Part 3

If you haven’t read part 1 and 2 then you will be very confused about anything that is going on. So read part 1 and 2 before this one.

We were all relieved, no more Izabella. She was put behind bars just like she deserved. In my book, kidnapping someone is like a ten on the insanity scale. Suddenly the sirens started blaring and the loudspeaker was shouting as well. The loudspeaker said “Prisoner 10726 has escaped her cell, I repeat prisoner 10726 has escaped her cell!” Izabella was flying down the hallway, but what she didn’t know was that the doors all around her were locked and she was trapped in jail. The only time she could get out of jail was when the employees switched shifts.

While Izabella was in prison she made a friend named Olivia that was in the same cell as her. Olivia has been trying to get out of jail ever since she got outsmarted by Connor and Owen. She has never been able to escape the prison though. Izabella asked when the employees change shifts. Olivia said “At 10:30am, 2:30pm, 9:00pm and 3:00am.” Izabella replied “That’s when we’ll escape outa here. Also didn’t you mention that Connor and Owen got you in here?” She questioned. “Ya.” said Olivia. “Well I was put in here by one of their close friends, Jackson.” said Izabella.

The loudspeaker started to blare “All cells are released to eat lunch at this time,from 1:30-2:30pm. Oh and try anything funny and you won’t get lunch for 3 days.”.As a guard walked by Izabella and Olivia, saw a small shiny object fall from his belt. They crept closer to inspect it and they saw that it was a key to the uniform room. Izabella quickly grasped the key and stuffed it into her pocket. They quickly wandered away from the line of prisoners. Down the hallway they went right into the uniform room. They quietly shut the door behind them before anyone could notice.

They quickly slipped on the uniforms and they came out looking all professional. It was 2:15pm and they rushed down the hallway just in time to change shifts. But out of the blue came a deep voice. “Hey I’ve worked here for 12 years and have never seen you or you.” he said pointing at the two of them. “First day.” replied Olivia. Izabella added and said “We’re new employees and we just got the job.” Luckily the worker fell for it and not one second too late. There was 3 minutes until they changed shifts. They got there right at 2:30.

They finally got out of jail. Izabella’s first words after they were out of prison were to Jackson through a call, and she said “ I told you I would break out of jail. I am coming for you and your friends. Tell Owen and Connor that Olivia is out of jail too. See you later Jackson.”

The Unlucky Fortune Part 5

If you haven’t read part 1,2,3 or 4 please do so before reading this or you will be very confused.

“ Owen and Connor, we totally forgot about school.” said Ashton “Well looks like we’re not going to graduate.” I said. “ Dude we’re in 4th grade. This doesn’t affect our graduation.” Jackson said in reply. “ We do need to get back to school though. We can’t tell my Dad until this nonsense is over. So we’re gonna live in an R.V and if anyone asks where we will be then tell them we were on vacation. Ok?” “Ok.” replied everyone.

So after our train ride home we went to school the next day and everyone hammered us with questions. We had a sub teacher and I thought she looked familiar but Connor and Owen thought they didn’t look familiar so I just let it go. About 2 hours past when I realized that someone was staring at me. Then Connor came up to me and he said “ I do think that teacher looks familiar, the student teacher looks familiar too.” “I just realized something, Izabella is disguised as the teacher and Olivia is the student teacher.” replied Jackson. “I see now. It makes a lot more sense. But what do we do now? Make a break for it at recess?” Later that day Jackson, Connor, Owen, and Ashton were out at recess.  “I guess it’s now or never” said Connor.

“NO!” I yelled. “We need proof first.” “Why?” said Ashton. “ Because if we just run off people will come for us.” I replied. As the whistle blew we went into lunch.I told Ashton, Connor and Owen to wait outside in the hallway incase anything happens. The sub teacher let everyone into lunch except for me. That’s when I knew the sub was Izabell. “You know who I am Jackson”.  Then she threw a chair at me and I got a cut from the side of my nose to the bottom of my ear. I yelled and told them to come in quick, and to drag me to the nurse. On the way there I told them that I thought I broke my leg. As I got to the nurse’s office we told them that I got a chair thrown at me by the Sub teacher and she gave me an ice pack and said “Here have an ice pack, and next time you are going to get a chair thrown at you make sure to grab an ice pack first. ”“ I will definitely do that next time ma’am.” I replied sarcastically,.

“Is it just me or do the nurses even care about what happened or do they just give you an ice pack?” said Ashton “ Probably the first one” replied Connor “I have a problem” said Owen. “Here’s an ice pack.” replied the nurses.  As a ice pack came down the hallway and hit Owen in the back of the head. He said  “My problem is now solved.” As he picked himself up from the ground. “She didn’t even know my problem.”

That’s when I told them that the sub teacher was definitely Izabella and the student teacher is Olivia So I went down to the recess doors and I gathered everyone there. I said let’s make a run for it. As soon as we opened the doors I fell and said “My leg hurts too much to run. Someone needs to carry me to the Emergency Room across the street.” Was that ice pack not enough for you?”  replied Ashton. “Very funny.” I said snapped back. So when we were halfway there you could hear the recess doors slam again. It was Isabella and Olivia. You could even see the rest of our class peaking around the corner of the wall.

At that very moment I chose to suck up the pain and I yelled to everyone “ Put me down we are all gonna run!” As we bolted across the street to get to the Emergency Room you could hear the stampede like sound of Isabella and Olivia trailing behind us. “Connor and Jackson, you two make a break for it and me and Owen will hold them off.” said Ashton with a whole lot of anxiety. As they stalled Izabella and Olivia we made it to the Emergency Room. My nurse did a great job and she gave me a cast. I limped home and on the way there I ran into Izabella she told me these words “I have your friends, if you ever want to see them again come to my house.”

Connor tackled Izabella and got her phone. He called Olivia and in a low voice he said “ I have Jackson’s fortune so you can let his friends go.” “Why” replied Olivia? “Because…”
