Students Study Aerospace Travel with Rockets

Garden Spot High School received the Air Force Association 2013 Educator Grant for the Meteorology and Astronomy Class to use to study aerospace travel.  The grant was in the amount of $227.00 and was used to purchase model rockets and supplies so the students could learn more about aerospace technology.  The students have been studying meteorology and the importance in our daily lives as well as for aerospace missions.  They will be studying the physics and forces that act on a rocket launch and why design is important for the flight to succeed.  The rocket launch allows the students to apply the physics, meteorology, and aerospace lessons they worked through the entire semester.
