About the teacher
I am a graduate of Millersville University. I began my teaching career in Springfield, Pennsylvania, a very small suburban school district. (2 elementary schools, a middle school and a high school) During my nine years in that district, I worked in the middle school for a year and then eight years in the elementary school. I taught a variety of grade levels, but most of my years were in kindergarten.
I resigned from my position when my son was born and our family moved to Lancaster County. Fortunately, I was able to be a stay-at-home mom for several years. When my son began school, I returned to teaching. I am beginning my nineteenth year with Elanco School District. Most of these years were spent teaching kindergarten at Brecknock and New Holland. Currently, I am a Title One Teacher, working with second grade students.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, crafts and the beach.
This past summer I was able to visit the Canadian Rockies for the first time and I walked on a glacier. What an exciting trip!
