For inquiry this week, we wrapped up our conversations about aquatic habitats. Learners choose an aquatic animal of their choice to research. After researching ideas such as their diet, habitat, and life cycle; they began creating a Google Slide to represent their learning and show their creativity.  Later in the week, we began to discuss career options that are interesting to us. Learners began researching various types of jobs to begin getting an idea for their interest areas. In reading, learners have continued working with nonfiction texts and identifying text features. We have been discussing why text features are important and how they help us while we are reading nonfiction texts. Next week, we will spend some more time on this. In math, we are solving addition and subtraction word problems. On Friday next week we will have our Unit Assessment. Learners will show their knowledge in solving various types of word problems.

We will be going out as long as it is not raining or too cold. With that in mind, please send a jacket or sweater with your child to school to help them from getting sick in colder weather. Also, please encourage hand washing at home to prevent any sicknesses from spreading.
