Not as a reflection of their character,but as a reflection of yours.” Man I love that quote,What do you think it means?I will tell you why I think it is important,“Show respect to people who don’t deserve it.” means to me you should be friendly to people even when they are greedy to you. “Not as a reflection of their character,but a reflection of yours” valuing they have a poor reputation about being greedy while you a proper reputation of being friendly.So show them some of your friendliness and maybe they can be friendlier to others.
I agree, you should be kind to people even if they don’t deserve it. But I don’t think greedy is the right word for it. Greedy is when you you are being very selfish. Yes, you should still be kind to people that are selfish. I think a better word would be rude, mean, or impolite. But again I do agree that the quote means to be kind to people even if they don’t deserve it.
