I think that Deforestation is an issue kids should worry about. Here are two reasons why I think that. First, Forests cover about 30% of the Earth Land. Forests hold 70% of the world’s plants and animals. I think that animals need trees to live and so do people.

Second if deforestation continues at its current rate, It will take less than 100 years to destroy all rainforest on Earth. I think if we do not have trees then how will we be able to breath? Some people might argue…

There are many causes, both direct and indirect for deforestation. For example to improve transportation routes, a country might encourage road expansion into forests. The new road gives access to loggers, settlers and large scale commercial activities. I think that they should make a path around the trees, instead of cutting them down.

I think that deforestation is an issue kids should worry about because it is bad for the environment and maybe kids could help by making new ideas to help when they get older.    The end

  1. That is a lot to think about. I believe that you will be able to make a difference to help the foresters figure out how to keep the beautiful rainforests that I saw in Alaska.

  2. Thank you for commenting on my blog. Did you see trees that were cut down in Alaska or were they still up? Please keep commenting.
