Solar System

We are learning about our solar system! So far we have been enjoying a music video to teach us about the planets and their position from the sun.  The Solar System song was written by A.J. Jenkins. Students love it!

We are also starting to keep a Moon Journal to give us an opportunity to see and write about the night sky. Knowing more about the sun, earth, and moon will help us to understand patterns of time related to our days, months and years. We will make a paper model to help us understand how the earth orbits around the sun and the moon orbits around the earth.

We will learn more about patterns in the sky when we learn about the constellations.
