We are working on Place Value!

So far, we have learned that the digits are: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Digits form numbers, like 54, or 45, or 376.

We are learning about the ones, tens, and hundreds places, using base ten blocks.

During our unit we will learn to write numbers in expanded form,  such as 300 + 70 + 6 which is the same as 376, and in word form: three hundred seventy-six.

We will also compare numbers to 1,000, and skip count by 5s, 10s and 100s.

When we aren’t working with Ms. Severance we work independently during our Me Time, and collaboratively with partners during Team Time.
