CHAPTER 1: Desperate Detective
It was a bright, sunny day. Michael got up and did his morning routine. While he was getting ready for the morning, he was wondering if anybody would need his help today. Then he looked at the calendar. “Oh great,” he said to himself, “April 25. If I don’t get 5 mysteries solved by May 1, 8:00 PM, I won’t get to be a detective any more. Well, I might as well go with it.”A few minutes later, while he was eating his breakfast, he heard the phone ring. “Yes!” he said as he jumped out of his chair and went to get it. “Oh please let it be a call for help solving a mystery.” When he got there he asked, “Who is it?” The other side answered, “Hi, this is Bill Hisdom. I went fishing yesterday and set the bucket of fish on my porch for the night. When I went outside to get it today, the bucket was knocked over in the bushes, and I couldn’t find my dog!” “Don’t worry,” said Michael. “I’ll be right there.”

This is a great start to your mystery series. It is a big job to find and solve so many mysteries. Are you thinking up all these mysteries to write about yourself? Where are you getting your ideas? Do you read mystery stories? Do you have favorites? Good luck with this challenge. ..Ms.T
Actually, I am thinking up these mysteries by myself. I get my ideas really just by thinking. Do I read mystery stories? Yes. I am even in the middle of reading a mystery book right now. It is called “Doom Buggy.” It is in the Sammy and Brian series, which so far is my favorite. There is another series that I read all but one book of. It is the A to Z Mysteries. The only book I didn’t read is “The Missing Mummy” which is letter M.
