One day Santa wanted a haircut, so he went to France for a haircut.  When he got to a barber shop he asked the barber to make his hair look better.  But what santa didn’t know is that anybody with a beard would get the French flag sprayed on it, so when they were done “cutting” his hair, Santa didn’t like his haircut, so Santa put the barber on the naughty list.

So that Christmas the barber got mad.  He never gave a man with a beard a “haircut” ever again.  The next year Santa said he would put the barber back on the nice list if the barber made him a new real haircut, the barber agreed.

Santa didn’t like his haircut this time either, so he never went to that horrible barber ever again.  And forever more the barber was on the naughty list.  THE END

The Circus

The Circus has lots, and lots of fun

Nobody wants it to be Done

All the elephants are allright

As they settle in for the night

The tigers are happy, though they roar

And the eagles are glad, away they soar

The monkeys are jumpy, and very loud

And the lions are peaceful, and very proud

The bears do tricks, for they are smart

While mike the horse shows his art

The dogs jump through hula-hoops

While the cats chase their tails and do loop-a-loops

The small otters balance on balls

While the rats crawl, and crawl

All the animals are as happy as can be

At the circus, they are filled with glee

I think deforestation is an issue kids should worry about, and here are some reasons why.

 

One fact that supports my opinion is that if deforestation continues at this rate, it will take less that 100 years for all forests to demolished.  If that keeps happening, kids may not have trees when they get older.  Something to help stop that is that anybody could grow new trees, or maybe loggers could plant a new tree whenever they cut one down.

 

Another fact that supports my opinion is that more than 2,000 of the 3,000 founded plants that can fight cancer are only found in rainforests.  Then kids with cancer could have limited cures, I don’t want anymore kids dying from cancer, also, if rainforest plans can do that, scientist should figure out how to grow them.

 

A fact that doesn’t support my opinion is that when we chop down trees we get more space for houses, and roads, but really we don’t need many more houses, and extended roads.  (I think roads are long enough).

 

These are all reasons for why I think deforestation is a issue kids should worry about.  100 years and then maybe no more trees?  Many plants with cancer-fighting properties are in rainforests that we are destroying?  We have to stop this!

You’re Invited to a Christmas Party!!!

You’re Invited to a Christmas party, at 6:00 pm, and going to 10:00 pm!  It is at a brown house on Robson Street, it also has a LOT of Christmas lights.  It’s on Christmas Eve!  Then you can go home and get some sleep, and then you will be ready for Christmas!  There will be a lot of good food, including beef, turkey, cookies, and a chocolate fountain!  There will also be many desserts including, cake, hot cocoa, some tasty gingerbread men, and rock candy covered pretzel sticks!  Yum!

If you want to you can wear Christmas costumes such as, Santa costumes, elf costumes, gingerbread man costumes, snowman costumes, and Christmas tree costumes!  We will also be holding an ugliest Christmas sweater contest, so be sure to bring them!  The prize you can win is a gingerbread house kit!

At about 8:30 we will do a gift exchange, then we will watch a Christmas movie called Home alone, or Elf.  We will vote for which one.  You can do whatever you want, as long as it’s not destroying the house.  At around 10:00, you will have to go.  Oh!  One thing we forgot to say, NO PARENTS ALLOWED!!!   MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Number of Posts, and Were the Ideas Came From

I have 33 posts, but 3 aren’t posted yet.  I have around 13 that my teacher, Mr. Geiman, told my class to write about,  I have about 10 that I did for a free write.  I have about 10 that are from the blog challenge.  Now 11 because of this post.  

What Post Got Most Comments, and Where Comments Came From

My blog has 13 comments, 2 are from teachers.  3 are from students around the world, and 8 are from my classmates.  The post that got the most comments was “Ligers Freewrite: #16STUBC”.  The reason I think that this got the most comments is when it got posted, it was the first one you saw on my blog, and it is also interesting to learn about a new animal.

The Post I Enjoyed Writing Most, and Why

I enjoyed writing “On the Banks of Watermelon River” because I could make it very humorous.  It was also my longest post, I also enjoyed adding the terrifying dragon in, the picture was actually just a float from the Disney Parade.

Did I Change My Theme

I didn’t change my theme, the reason why is because my theme worked well for widgets, I also think my theme was the best I could choose.  Some of my friends had to change theirs, but not mine!

I have 10 widgets, and I think that’s enough!  My favorite widget is Leo the Lion Cub, I got him not that long ago.

I use 3 kind of web tools for my blog.  I used Bunnyhero Labs once, I love it.  I also use Powtoon, Powtoon is a website where you can make your own videos.  Last, but not least, I use Storybird to make stories, and poems.

Japan

Even though I live in America, I still love Japan.  Japan has one of my favorite movie studios, Studio Ghibli!  Miyazaki does a lot of the art, he is a great drawer.  One of my favorite films he made is “My Neighbor Totoro”.  Totoro is a big, cute, and funny character.

When I grow up I want to go to Japan, I am learning to speak Japanese.  I know a few words, here is a table to show what words I know:

He was born on November 28, 1772

He was interested in clouds, are you?

He had many brothers, and one sister

His dad didn’t like them being lazy

Especially Luke, who was a bit dazy

He did not go to church

He went to a boarding school

He did not think it was cool

He got a job of making medicine

He made medicine day after day,

and that is how he got good pay.

He quit to study clouds

His father told him to not study clouds,

and that speech did not make him proud

He joined a club that studied sience

Every week they would share their studies

They did not share about frogs or bunnies

Luke was brave to share his essay

He named some clouds like the puffy ones in the sky

That could help people invent something to fly

His essay got printed and read all around

Later some scientist changed it

But only a bit

He married a lady named Marabella

He died at the age of 91

On March 21, 1864

And soon after that people started to soar

                             Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Franklin D Roosevelt’s was born on January 30, 1882.  He was the 32nd president. Died April 12th 1945.  Most famous quote “The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.’”

The reason we think Franklin Roosevelt was one of the greatest presidents is because, he helped America get through World War II, and the Great Depression.  The way he helped in the Great Depression is he made something called the New Deal.  The New Deal is a series of social programs that was in the United States between 1933, and 1938.

Franklin Roosevelt, or FDR as he liked to be called, had a dog that was almost as famous as him.  His dog’s name was Fala, she loved attention.

Franklin died of Intracerebral Hemorrhage, a stroke.  Before, he was in a wheelchair because his legs were paralyzed.  We remember him today as one of the greatest presidents.
