How I’m feeling about PSSAs

I am not really excited for PSSAs because it’s hard testing. I think that I will like the math PSSAs more than the ELA PSSAs. I am not nervous because I think I will do well if I take my time. I also wish that we could have our own teachers in the room with us.

Basketball Player takes on Bullies, Achieve Article

I think that Anthony has an amazing story. He can also be an example for us to follow our goals. I really liked how even though he was told that he would never succeed in sports or school, Anthony was determined and came up with three goals. I also like how once he completed those goals, he became a motivational speaker and toured the country telling other people about his story and inspiring them to be anti-bullies.

Anne Frank’s story and Number the Stars are similar because both Annemarie and Anne are living in the time of the Nazi ruling. They are also both trying to hide from the Nazi’s.

What I would like to know about Anne Frank

I would like to know how Anne Frank’s family was caught by the Nazis and taken to a concentration camp. I would also like to know why the dad didn’t get caught. In the article that I read, it said that the dad wrote a letter to a friend saying that his children and wife had died in a concentration camp. Another thing I want to know about Anne Frank is why she loved to write.

All Hair is created equal

From this article I learned that there are some business and schools that don’t allow certain african american hair styles. I don’t think this is right because some of their traditions might be to wear their hair a certain way. I also learned that there is a natural hair movement that take pride in black hairs curly texture and its natural beauty. Also, some states have passed laws against hair discrimination.
