A Crazy Sleepover

*This is a true story but I changed names to fake ones because my friends didn’t want their real name in the story. Enjoy!

Last summer Chloe came over to my house to hangout. We decided to ride scooters when Haley and Ava decided to come join us. We were having fun and Ava invited us over to her house to swim. In the pool we did handstand contests, chicken fights, and made whirpools. But while we were swimming, Haley lost one of her earrings and the back. But Ava and Haley had to leave to go help out at a stable, so we had to look quickly. Finally, Ava found it while doing a handstand.

Then, Ava and Haley left but would be back in about 3 hours. So, Chloe and I ate dinner at my house, did drawing contests, and played basketball. Then they got back. We all were gonna have a sleepover at Ava’s house. So, Chloe, Haley and I got our bags and went to Ava’s house. We played scrabble and each had coke. I got up to use the bathroom, and when I came back there was a dead fly on my coke! So I got a new one. Then we got bored and decided to ask Alexa random questions.

After that, we wanted to watch Mulan. But by 11:30 pm Ava’s dad told us to start getting ready for bed. Now, this is where things got a little chaotic. So, we went upstairs and got our beds ready. There was an air mattress on the floor, and Ava’s bed. I had saved a spot on the bed, and Ava wanted a spot on the mattress. So Chloe and Haley were fighting over who gets the other spot on the comfy bed.

Finally, they decided it would be best to share the bed. So I had to lay horizontally, and give up half my spot! By this time, Ava was asleep. Oh, I forgot to mention we had brought up snacks. I had a pack of little bites muffins and a few chips. Chloe had a new cereal she discovered called honeycomb, which I’ll get into that a little later. Haley had golden grahams. And Ava wasn’t eating anything because she was asleep, but she had brought up little bites muffins too.

All of a sudden, Haley, Chloe, and I were sweating and felt like we were gonna pass out. We realized Ava keeps her room very warm, but we couldn’t handle it so we woke her up. We asked her if we could go to a different room, but none of us wanted to be in a room all alone. So Haley and I asked if we could go and bring up cups of ice. The ice machine was really loud, but her dad slept with a breathing machine, so he couldn’t hear a thing. Then we went back upstairs By this time we would do anything to have the room cold. We waited a while with our ice, then we heard a little click. We heard the sound of  air blowing and realized it was Ava’s  vent/air conditioning!

So, we rushed over and sat there for about 10 minutes with our faces in front of it. But then it turned off 🙁 So all we were left with was a few cubes of ice. Now Ava was sound asleep again. So us three talked for a while and it was about 1:30am. I was feeling better and we all agreed we should try and fall asleep.

But we couldn’t sleep, we were out of ice and feeling bad again. Then we were quiet but apparently they didn’t like their spots, exactly like earlier. So we starting fighting over spots and switching spots. Then we started fighting over blankets. Eventually, Haley fell asleep as well as Ava, who was asleep basically this whole time. Now, Chloe and I didn’t know this before, but Haley is a LOUD SLEEPER!!!!! She sounded almost like she was snoring mixed with hyperventilating.

Then, Ava started snoring too, but not as loud. So Chloe and I quietly got up out of bed and went to talk in the hallway. Chloe suggested going downstairs but I didn’t want to. But then I suggested their guest room, but we agreed it was also too hot in there. So, we tried Ava’s craft/horse room, which had a 1 person loft in it. Chloe and I tried to lay opposite ways so we could fit. There we slept for about 30 minutes.

I still couldn’t really sleep, so we both tried to go back in Ava’s original room, grab her IPad, and pull an all nighter. We watched about 15 minutes of Liv and Maddie and Fuller House. By now it was 3:00 am, and I was getting tired.

So, we tried to go back to Ava’s room. Now, I was asleep for the rest of the night. But Chloe had told me in the morning that while I was asleep, she couldn’t sleep still so she tried to sleep in the hall. Apparently, one of Ava’s dogs had used the bathroom on the floor. So she went back in Ava’s room and didn’t sleep for a while.

Ava and Haley had to wake up for church that morning at 6:00 am, and woke Chloe and I up. So, I got about 2 hours and 30 minutes of sleep, and Chloe got about 30 minutes of sleep. In the morning Haley and Ava were taking showers for church, while Chloe had eaten almost half the box of honeycomb. Then her parents called all of us down to eat. We had pancakes, bacon, strawberries, and juice. Then Chloe and I got our things together and left. We facetimed a few hours later and both of us had token a nap for about 3 hours.

Now, Chloe is addicted to honeycomb cereal, Ava’s  is bugles, Haley’s is gobstoppers and golden grahams, and mine is little bites muffins. This is the story of our chaotic sleepover!
