Quote Response

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”  -Albert Einstein

This is a very short and sweet quote, but it has a lot of meaning and truth. This reminds me that without imagination, there would be no need for knowledge. Everything that has been made in by man needed imagination to be come up with. We could have all of the knowledge in the world, but we would not have been able to do anything with it without imagination. If we had imagination but no knowledge, it would be hard to do things, but we could learn. Also, knowledge is not always needed if you have imagination. Therefore, I believe that this quote means that without imagination, we cannot do anything.

  1. There is a similar quote in a mural down near the ag wing you should check out sometime. It is definitely cool to hear Einstein (associated with high intelligence) to share the importance of creativity. In one of my grad classes recently we talked about how as technology increases and robotics take over some human jobs, we will need to be more creative and use our ‘human’ side to stay marketable.
