Independent Novel:Book Choice

I chose Fish In A Tree as my book, because I felt it was quite interesting. It’s about this Girl named Allie Nickerson, who struggles to deal with reading and writing due to her dyslexia. Allies attempts to be normal are by misbehaving to hide the true fact. It’s interesting to see how Allie is going through this, and how she is afraid of telling anyone the truth. Crazy to think that Allie isn’t one of the only people scared to ask for help, or that fear of being different. I love how the book puts Allie as this character that is only ever trying to be normal, to fit in without people knowing by using a behavior. Reading Allie’s thoughts and feelings creates a whole spine on the truth behind the mask. I mean I only read chapters 1-3. so there isn’t much to imply about my thoughts. But the book is a big eye-opener, using point of view to show what people can be going through, nor the truth.
