In the U.S.A. we waste 40% of food. In the Newsela article a girl in high school came up with a idea to save the extra food that would get thrown away. Instead of throwing it away you can give it to her program and give it to the hungry people. This idea is pretty good I just feel like they already have something like this in the world already.
