Is it better to have an outlandish dream or none at all? Why?

I personally feel as though it is better to have an outlandish dream rather than none at all because while I feel like there are some realistic limitations when it comes to living for something bigger than yourself, I do feel like it is way better to strive for something rather than nothing. While the dream doesn’t make or break whether your life was “successful” or not, because everyone has their own definition of success, there are important things that happen when you are in pursuit of accomplishing your dream, meaning that the journey is important. Not only that, but I feel like when life gets you down, it is the “outlandish” dream that can keep you going because you have to remember that whatever struggles you are going through in pursuit of that dream, it will be worth it in the long run if you get there and accomplish that. Which, if I may add, is better than feeling like you have nothing that you want to live for. Unless, you are completely present-oriented and want to live life completely in the present and just see where life takes you, then go you, but even then I feel as though there is still some sort of end-dream.
