Independent Novel: Internment by Samira Ahmed

lI am reading a book called “Internment” by Samira Ahmed. So far I think I’m enjoying it. It’s about a girl named Layla and her life as a Muslim. The government has ruled Muslims as dangerous. They must go to internment camps where they are kept “under control”. The book is mainly about Layla fighting for her freedom.

  1. This book sounds good, Eden. Is it fiction? There are actual (now and in the past) internment camps that the US has used. It sounds insane but they deemed it necessary in the past for security.

  2. I remember you getting this at the library and I was super jealous because I was interested in it too! It seemed like it has stuff with history in it, and I love history type things! I hope you enjoy it!
