My Future Job!

When I get older, I want to be a vet. I want to be a vet because I love animals. However, you have to do a lot of schooling. Which I am ok with.

One quality I have is caring. Being a vet, you have to counsel clients about the deaths of their pets or about decisions for their pets. Caring can help with this because you have to talk to people about their situation and listen and care about their ideas. Another quality I have is I’m organized. When I become a vet, you have to plan or execute animal nutrition or reproduction programs. Being organized could help with this because when you have to plan or schedule these programs, you have to keep everything on track and organized. One last quality I have is hard-working. If you want to  become a vet, their are a lot of skills you need to be able to do. One that requires being hard-working is researching diseases to which animals could be susceptible. Being organized can help with this because researching takes a lot of time and work. These are the qualities I have that can contribute to the requirements of a vet.

There are certain types of vets. But overall, we have to examine them, give them checkups making sure they’re healthy, sometimes give them shots, help heal them depending on what happened, and even do things just like giving them a bath or clipping animals nails.

In this job, some challenges  could be getting them to hold still when doing procedures. I know this because when we take our animals to the vet for whatever reason, sometimes they squirm around. I know this is true for a lot of animals when going to the vet.

This is the job I want to have when I’m older, some qualities I have that could help me in this job, what someone with this job has to do/their responsibilities, and what challenges could occur with this job.
