Bus Information

A busing letter will be coming home in the mail before school begins.   Please read it over carefully and if you have any questions please contact our school office at 717-445-8600.

AM Students – Please create a name tag with your child’s name and address on it for them to wear on
the first couple days of school.  (We will give one to the PM students)  When the AM students arrive we will have parent volunteers at school to escort students off the bus and walk them to their classrooms.

PM Students- We will give each child a name tag with their bus color attached.  Each student will be matched up with a 6th
grade buddy who will hold their hand and help them to find their bus at the end of the day.  We will use our bus buddy
for the first few weeks of school and extra adults will be available to help make sure everyone finds their way to their correct bus.

We organize our buses by color:

02  yellow

11  orange

12  green

14  brown

21  red

34  black

42  pink

46  purple

The transition to kindergarten can be difficult for some children (and parents).  Please encourage your child to board the bus.  Some children resist separation from parents.  If you reward this behavior by keeping them home or bringing them to school yourself, it will be more difficult for you and your child to change this behavior. If your child is having difficulty with riding the bus please let us know and our school counselor can be of assistance in helping to make their transition to school go more smoothly.
