Is rap a form of poetry?  Why or why not?   I think that rap can be a form of poetry. I think rap is a form of poetry because of the way their songs are written. What I mean by that is that rappers write their songs to have poetry in them, like they have a certain topic they wright on and then they turn them into poetry sometimes. Sometimes rappers just let their songs go, and just let them not become poetry. I agree with everyone that says that rap can be a form of poetry.

Which one of my parents am I most like? Good question Mrs.Carl! My personality is more like my dads’ personality, though I look more like my mom! My mom has brown hair and has bright brown eyes! She also is a very kind person, especially when it comes to somebody getting hurt she is always there. She also has a very kind heart. My dads’ personality is more like me! My dad has Blonde hair and green/blue eyes. My dad is a very faithful man! When it comes to him having a bad day he always reminds himself that he has a big God! My dad also sees the good in people. I care for both of my parents equally!

Who is my first best friend you ask? Oh well I have a lot of good friends! There is 7 people who are in my inner circle but then there is a lot more! I want to mention Karis, Kaylie,Lexi, Alex, Madison V, Leah M, and Gwen. Karis has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is a very inspirational person when it comes to somebody having a bad day she is always there! Kaylie is also like Karis. Kaylie has long brown hair and brown eyes. She is a very funny and happy person she is the girl who make me happy! Lexi has blonde and blue eyes. She is a very kind person and has a kind heart. She is always there for somebody! Alex has brown hair and brown eyes and is a very energetic person! She always make me feel better in a lot of different ways. Her personality is the best! Madison has brown hair and brown eyes? I think but she is a very amazing person and is a very calm person. I can always count on her to be there for me. Leah has black hair and has brown eyes? I think…anyway she is a great person and can always be there for me whenever I need her. Gwen has blonde hair and blue eyes as well. She is very inspirational and always makes sure I am okay when I am not. When I am having a bad day I can always count on her! I love all of my friends equally! If I missed your name don’t worry your name is sitting in my heart and always will be there. 

Me? I have dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. When I am sad my friends are there or I will just have faith and believe. I am an active person. Well I cant be active now because I sprained my ankle but when I feel better I will definitely be active again. I have a kind heart and always would be there for people. My teachers in school are all so nice. I can count on them also to help me feel better!

~ Right now I will be talking about needs and wants. Needs and wants are totally different things. Needs are things that are important for example, food,water,shelter,and clothes. Wants are something that you personally say that you “need” but you really don’t need them, for example, toys, pets, books, video games, things like that. So I personally would focus on the needs for now and then extra money can go towards the wants.

~  Now I am going to talk about how my classroom checkbook and finance lessons have helped me gain more perspective to economic issues. I think that it has helped me in many ways. It helped me gain more perspective on money first of all because now I know why it is important to save money for bills and extra things like that. Now I can show empathy to my parents and know that we have to save money for bills, and not spend it right away.

~ In addition, to all the things I said I will now be talking about if I will be a saver or a spender when I grow up. I think this is a simple question for me because I would rather be a saver. I know there will be at least one time in my life where I might want to use money on vacation or going to the movies with my friends, but other than that I will definitely be a saver when I grow up. Why? because I want to save money on other things like extra bills I need to pay or like I said vacation or shopping and things like that it is good to have a little bit of cash left over.

~ Last but not least I will be talking about why it is important to save money on a rainy day. I say it is good to save money on a rainy day because in case if something happens that you are home you have nothing to because its raining and you decide to go shopping on this rainy day. You will have a little bit of extra cash as you go shopping. I also say it is good to save money while on a rainy day because if you are just getting bored and you decide to go do something like go to the mall, you need that money for gas and for shopping. That is why I say it is important to save money on a rainy day.

ME: Pineapple is it summer yet?

Pineapple: No Chiara, we still have 5 more months till summer.

ME: How come it is taking so long?

Pineapple: The last summer we had was only 8 months ago….Oh I see what your saying.

ME: I feel like it has been forever!

Pineapple: Why are you always so excited for summer to come?

ME: All of the memories me and my family had last summer, we had a blast!

Pineapple: What was your favorite summer memory with your family?

ME: My favorite summer memory was the time me, my dad, and my 5 siblings went to a camp called Twin Grove Campground.

Pineapple: Tell us about your experience at Twin Grove.

ME: Alright, my dad rented a cabin and we stayed there for about a week. There was one day that at the campground had set up a fair. There were slides that you could climb up and down because there was a ladder in between the 2 slides and they were so long!

Pineapple: Anything else?

ME: A lot more! Then there was one day we spent more than a half a day at the pool, because they had a giant pool there and it was so much fun!

Pineapple: My oh my! Sounds like fun!

ME: Oh yes it was! Me and my brother (Ethan) also rode bike down this trail in the woods!

The question was… Would you rather not celebrate Christmas this year OR not celebrate your birthday this year?  WHY?

I honestly would rather not celebrate my birthday this year,why? Because Christmas means a lot to me, especially when it has to do with Jesus being born, that’s why it means a lot to me! It’s not at all just because of the presents it is because of a very important reason…Jesus was born! Although I am very grateful that my parents take the time to buy Christmas presents for me. Who is your favorite or most important family member and why?  What memories do you have with them?  What are some traits they have that you hope you have?  What makes them such an incredible person?

My favorite/most important family member has to be my dad. I have spent a lot of time with him for the past 2 years, and I am very thankful to have him as my dad. I remember all the times we went camping and all the water parks we went to during the summer as a family. I had a lot of fun as a family with him lately. My dad has traits such as, his hard working at work, his care for others and also his faith he has. I think that just these traits make him an incredible person and just his personality that makes him the person he is. I really am thankful for my dad.

The thing I wanted as a child but never received is a puppy to myself. I always wanted a puppy to myself because my family had a Miniature Husky at our house named Bear. After they told me we are getting a puppy I thought it was going to be mine! I guess I didn’t really understand the meaning of WE!? So I asked my dad for a Miniature Husky all to myself and their was one for sale near when we lived in Kentucky and it was so cute! It’s name was Jaxs! I wanted it so bad! The thing that was unique about Bear was he had one eye that was blue and the other was brown! So I tried…..and tried………and tried and the answer was still  “No” so I went back to my room and showed my dad how responsible I was and cleaned up my bedroom and so I was all finished and I was so happy so I showed my dad my bedroom and he said “Woah” so I got super excited… and so I tried……..and tried……..and tried but the answer was still “No” so I thought to myself maybe I could clean something that my dad would be happy of… so I thought and I just came up with the idea to clean up my dad’s work desk, and so I cleaned it the best I possibly could and so I was finished. I went and told my dad and he looked at it and said “Nice Job” so again I got super excited….. and so I tried…..and tried……and tried and his answer was still “No” and so I thought to myself “you know what I should probably stop I don’t think there is anything I could do to get a puppy so I decided to stop and wait till I get older. I still don’t have my own puppy yet, but now that I am older I like different things now (not that I don’t like puppies anymore) as a matter of fact I still think they are adorable! I am 11 years old (will turn 12 on May 8th) and I am starting to grow older and I grow out of things then I used to when I was 4. • Answer: What the quote means to me is that a hero is a very brave and confident individual who has to find the strength and perseverance to complete obstacles.

• Going back to what we discussed at the beginning of this unit, name two traits a hero should have and why they need those traits.
• Answer: Confidence because when they are completing overwhelming obstacles they need bravery to complete because if your scared to do something you need bravery to complete it, and another trait is perseverance they need to have the guts to do something because if you don’t have perseverance while completing an overwhelming obstacle then your not going to have the guts to do it. You also need to have perseverance because you need to be positive and know that your going to achieve it with these 2 traits.

• Answer: I consider my dad a hero because he has gotten through a lot of hard times in his life and he had faith and trust to complete it.

Red Ribbon Week is important for teachers at each school to teach students about drugs and alcohol and how bad it is for you because, if they don’t learn now of how bad it is to do drugs or drink alcohol then they have a 50% chance that they are going to do it in the future. I also think that teachers should teach their students about it because then if they teach their students then when their students get older they can teach their kids. That is why it is good for teachers to teach students about drugs. I think that teachers should come straight forward with their students and say that “Drugs and alcohol will/can ruin your life”  but I am not saying that teachers should take a whole week telling them about drugs because then they will think it’s a good thing, and i’m sure that you don’t want your students thinking that, “right?” Anyway that is why I think that teachers should tell their students straight forward that drugs will/can ruin your life.
