The ELANCOnline Virtual Academy has an open enrollment policy, meaning students can enroll at any point during the year. That said, we strongly encourage start dates to be at times that are natural and logical transitions for students. At the elementary and middle school level, this means the end of the quarter and for the high school it would mean the end of the semester, as we are on block scheduling.
If your son/daughter is not currently an ELANCO School District student but has an interest in ELANCOnline, you need to first register your son/daughter in the District with Mrs. Jennifer Myers, who can be reached at (717) 354-1142 or email at registration@elanco.org. More information regarding enrollment in the ELANCO School District can be found on the ELANCO SD Website.
After your son/daughter is enrolled in the District, an ELANCOnline enrollment meeting can be scheduled with Mrs. Elaine Martin. She will schedule a time for you to meet with your son/daughter’s school counselor and any other support personnel if needed (i.e. District social worker, special education consultant, special education case manager, building administrator, school psychologist, etc.). We will make every effort to try and schedule both enrollment meetings on the same day, and the ELANCOnline enrollment meeting will occur at the school where your son/daughter would be enrolled.
If your son/daughter is currently an ELANCO School District student but wants to switch to the ELANCOnline Virtual Academy, please speak with your son/daughter’s school counselor, and in some instances the building administrator, to discuss whether the virtual academy is a viable option. If it is a good solution for your child’s education, then an enrollment meeting will be scheduled with Mrs. Elaine Martin so that the school counselor, and any other support personnel if needed can attend (i.e. District social worker, special education consultant, special education case manager, building administrator, school psychologist, etc.).
