The ELANCOnline Virtual Academy offers all of the things made available if you were to attend a cyber charter school somewhere else, such as the laptop, the printer, the materials you need, and Internet reimbursement. However, it is all of the value added perks you receive with our program that other cyber charter schools do not offer.
For example, as a secondary student in our virtual academy you can participate in whatever extracurricular and co-curricular activities interest you (i.e. marching band, music performing groups, GSPA, sports, FFA, clubs, etc.). Club periods are Period 8 daily for middle school students and twice a month on Mii Day during iSpartan time for high school students.
Additionally, we don’t view you as an ELANCOnline student; rather, we view you as an ELANCO School District student, meaning that at the end of your senior year, your diploma will read Garden Spot High School, even if you have done your schooling through the virtual academy.
Lastly, we are proud to share that our online course offerings in Grades K-12 are taught by ELANCO School District teachers, and it is those same teachers who staff and offer instructional and tutoring support to students throughout the day in our Library Media Center (LMC) Virtual Academy Classroom. Specifically, at different times during the day, there is content support available in the following subject areas: english language arts, math, science, social studies, business education, and health/physical education.
In conclusion, we encourage you to take advantage of those value adds that interest you and that you cannot get any place else but in ELANCO.
