One day Mr. Chalk was walking through town like a normal day. One day, though, he had an important meeting with his boss. He worked Chalk Inc. He didn’t know what the meeting was about, so he took his getting there. When he arrived at Chalk Inc, he was on the elevator wondering what his boss was calling him in for.  When he got in his boss’s office his boss right away said “Good Job!” Mr. Chalk wondered why his boss was congratulating him. Mr. Chalk asked why he was getting congratulated. His boss said because he was doing the best job in work and promoted. Mr. Chalk took the promotion.

Once again, another casual day in walking to work with his suitcase and laptop. But today, there were black board all over town! The black boards were picking chalk people and rubbing them on their darkness! Mr. Chalk knew he had to get inside a home. He sprinted all the way back to his house and hid inside there. He was so frightened that he went upstairs and hid under his bed. Black Boards know how to get into houses, even when the doors and windows are locked. He heard footsteps walking up the stairs and walking downstairs. He was so frightened that he squeaked. The black boards froze for a split second and turned toward the bed…

             One day Laura and Mary were sweeping the kitchen. When they  finished, Laura  and Mary snook out and went to Pineapple Creek. When they got far enough they reached the water and got in they went far out even though Pa told them not to. They went in the water for about an hour and got out and didn’t get hurt. When they started coming home they saw a animal and didn’t know what it was. They got scared and Laura got a stick and picked it up and poked the animal to see what it would do. It jumped at them and they jumped back. Mary ran back to the house while Laura stayed. After, she saw it spread out she figured out it was a badger. It jumped on her and she fell down. It started to crawl on her and she loved the animal. She loved it so much she took it home with her. When her Ma saw it she screamed and jumped away.

Her Ma told her to put it back but, Laura said no. So Ma went out and bought a cage and put it in there and left it outside to do whatever it wants just to not be inside the house. The next day they let if out of the cage because it scratched Laura. So Laura never wanted another pet again. She never went back to Pineapple creek either.

Pele a World Cup Soccer Player

On June 29th, 1958 Brazil defeated Sweden 5-2 in its first World Cup. Brazil Came into tournament as a favorite and was not disappointed. The star of the tournament was a midfielder named Edson Arondes Nascimento known as Pele. Pele was the son of a professional footballer called Dodhino. His mother having to watch her husband to struggle to earn money in the game discouraged Pele from football.

I was there with my friends Maddie and Stan were there. I was in the first row of the seats in the stadium. We were eating three large buckets of caramel popcorn and 2 other large buttered popcorn buckets. We ate 5 candy bars and some Laffy Taffy’s. They both had blonde hair with natural brown highlights and Maddie had glasses. Stan didn’t have any glasses,and my name is Matt. I have brown hair with blue eyes and I have no glasses. I was sitting in the second row at the time.

Brazil went to win the world cup again in 1966 and 1970 and they were permanently the first country win three world cups. In 1978 Pele was awarded the international peace award for his work with the UNICEF. In 1999 the olympic committee honored Pele along with ten other as one of the best athletes in the country. In his Career so far he had 1,281 goals in 1,363 games.

We saw Pele finish his game and they got to see the team win. When Maddie and Stan got home they celebrated with a party. They hoped to see another game.

Pele was a world cup soccer player, a great guy and a great soccer player.

She looked sad, old and wrinkled because the bear experience she had was just terrifying and made her look like that. She would have looked better if she wasn’t sad all her life.

Max was a boy that loved hunt. It was an early Sunday morning when he set off into the woods. He lost his map and got lost in the forest. He unknowingly suspected a bear was watching him. Out of nowhere a bear started charging at him. Then Max felt something in his pocket. He took it out and by that time the bear was only a few feet away from him. He found out it was pepper spray and he sprayed the bear and ran away. He kept on running and saw the end of the forest. It was not where he lived and he still did not know where he was.

He saw a house and knocked on the door. No one answered at the door. After,a while when he heard no sounds and everything was quiet like he was the only person in the world, the only thing in the world. Then, he opened the door.At the outside it looked like a poor persons house. On the inside it looked like a rich person’s house..Then he started looking around. Cobwebs everywhere. It looked like an abandoned house because there was nothing inside. He saw a door that looked mysteries and shut. He opened it up. Gold, silver and bronze everywhere. He thought he was rich with all of it.

           He heard footsteps that sounded like running. Someone ran into the house and Max ran to hide in the room and shut the door. He looked from the crack in the doorknob. It was a girl!! She had blonde hair with brown highlights. She had blue eyes. Max opened the door, frightening the girl. She was so scared she jumped up and fell. Max helped her up. He asked her name and her name was Melissa. Max told her the situation he was in. He told her every little detail. He also told her that he thought he was rich. He showed her the room. So they started trying to find a way without getting caught by the bear. Melissa asked to look for a back door. They started looking and found one but, there was no doorknob. So Max kicked it open then ran with Melissa out of the house into the woods. Then they found Max’s house by just running straight through the woods. Max screamed “I’m home!!!” Max just found out that Melissa lived right across the street. They became best friends and everyone was happy.

The Herman W. Block library ‘s name came to be because for a birthday present Miss Franny wanted a library for her birthday and her father had built her one and she named it after her father.
