Quote Analysis

Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā ā€œGreat opportunities to help others seldomĀ  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  come, but small ones surround us every day.ā€ ā€“ Sally Koch

Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  To me, this quote means that you have to help someone, even in something little, because you might be the only one that does.

I help people around me by asking what they need help with and I do my best to help them.

A small oppurtunity going on arounnd me right now is some people don’t understand how to write this blog post and I am not taking advantage of it.

There Once Was a Child

There once was a child with the name of Glee,Ā

He loved to draw pictures and sat on his knee.

But then one day

His momma passed away

And never again did Glee

Sit on his knee.

There once was a child with the name of Max,

He loved to chop and had an ax.

He had a friend that was named Shax.

Shax and Max both had an ax,

And they bought borax.

There once was a child with the name of Jack.

Jackā€™s dad was a trucker and had a Mack.

In that Mack he had a sack

In which held his snack.

There once was a child with the name of Ty,

Ty was bi and had a thick thigh.

At night Ty was a bad guy

And he hit a bullā€™s eye.

There once was a child with the name of Kat,

Kat had a mat on which sat her cat.

Her cat was fat and Kat

Got rid of her cat.

There once was a child with the name of Alley

Alley was lally and lived in Rift Valley

When she went to Death Valley

For her that was the finale.

PSSA Opinion

I kinda like but don’t like the PSSA’s. I mean, there are a lot of things on the plus side. First off, no homework. I mean, who doesn’t like no homework? Second, we get a bunch of snacks. I love eating, so that’s a plus for me. And finally,Ā  the third reason I like them is because we don’t really do a lot of hard work in math and reading when they are on. It doesn’t fry my brain anymore than it already is.

But, there is also a negative side. And one of those things are that it’s a HUGE test. It places you for next year classes, and that’s a lot of pressure on students to do good. And let me tell you, I’m not the best under pressure. Second, you can’t talkĀ  or read, or do anything for that matter after you’re done. You sit and wait. That’s all. Finally, my third reason is that it’s lasts a couple days. It’s not one test that last for an hour or two. There are two tests over a period of 5 days. 5 days! That’s a lot testing.

Well, those are my opinons, comment yours below!

Poem Analysis

ā€œThe Rose that Grew from Concreteā€ by Tupac Shakur
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving natureā€™s law is wrong it
learned to walk without having feet
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

I think that the point of this poem is to help people going through tough times. What convinced me is that when the poem says “Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared.”, I think he’s saying that you have to keep pushing and not just give up. Because when your going through a tough time, I think it’s general for people to think that no one cares about them. I also think he used a rose to symbal power and strength. I think that the tone of the poem would be firm and inspirational.

Economics

In class for the past couple weeks, we have been working on economics. So far, we have bought a car with a down payment, went grocery shopping, and we have learned about supply and demand. In our classroom, becasue of supply and demand, pencils were 10 dollars each. That is REALLY expensive for a pencil. But now, because of even more supply and demand, pencils are 25 dollars. I think that’s a little obsurd, but it is what it is. Every two weeks, we get a paycheck of 879 dollars. Every month, we also pay bills. We have rent, water, food, heating, and more. Yeah, being an adult sucks. When I grow up, I think I’ll be a little more of a spender than a saver, but we learned to budget our money, so I think I’ll be okay. In class this year, we had an oppurtunity cost that I took. I was buy one get one free pencils for 10 dollars, or get 10 hershey kisses for 10 dollars. I didn’t have any pencils, but I really wanted those hershey kisses. But when it came to me, I wouldn’t have anything to right with if I did buy the hershey kisses. So, overall, I absolutley HAD to get the pencils. We have also had emergencys, one of them being a clogged toilet, while the other one being a ER visit for a sick family member. They both ranged to about 200 dollars. It’s also important to save for a rainy day, because you never know what might happen.

Memorable Summer Experience

One of my summer experiences were at my cousins house. Everyday, except for the weekends, my brother and I would go there. One day, we were hiking through the woods, and we saw a baby bird. It has obviously fallen out of the tree, and we determined to help it. So, one of us stayed to keep watch of the bird, and the other three went to get my cousins parents. I was the one watching the bird. I didn’t want to touch it, for I was scared that is might have rabies, or another disease. Anyway, my cousins parents brought gloves with them to pick the baby bird up. We brought it back to the house, and then drove it the vet. The vet said it had a broken wing, and when it was healed they would release it back into the wild. I felt good because ifĀ  we wouldn’t have come across the baby, it probably would’ve died. So, that’s my summer story, tell me yours in the comments.

If You Could be Any Age, What Would it be and Why?

So, we read a passage called Eleven. It was about a girl who just turnedĀ  eleven, and she doesn’t feel eleven right away. In the passage it says that when you cry, the part of you that is still three comes out. It says a bunch of different emotions and the age of you that comes out. In the passage it also states whoever is eleven is also 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Same with older ages. Anyway, the girl does not like being eleven because she hates the feeling. If I were to become an age right away, I would be 22 because then I could do a lot moreĀ  things and I can actully get a real job.

Why I Don’t Have a New Years Resolution

Well, as you can tell from the title I don’t have a new year’s resolution. I don’t have one because people only go with it for a couple of months, then they give up on it. I also don’t have one because I don’t believe that kids should have them, only because kids need to have fun. Now, don’t get me wrong, adults need fun too. But what I’m saying is that children need to enjoy their childhood before they go on to become a young adult and have to worry about bills, taxes, rent, and getting a job. So, that is why I do not have a new year’s resolution, comment down below if you have one!

Who is Your Favorite Superhero and Why?

Well, I would have to say that batman is my favorite superhero because he is strong, rich, has the best gadgets, and he looks like a bat in his suit. I also like the batcave, and how he comes out at night wearing the batsuit.

I also like batman because he takes down all the really major villains, like The Joker, The Riddler, Bane, Harley Quinn, and so much more. He also has a awesome sidekick, Robin. He also has a super cool butler, Alfred, which designs a lot of his gadgets.

So, that is why batman is my favorite superhero, and comment down below who your pick is!

Who Is Your Favorite Family Member?

Well, my favorite family member is my dog Rocky because I love all my family members the same. I don’t believe in having a favorite because I believe everybody in a family should love each other the same.

I love my dog Rocky because he is playful, never barks (but sadly, he whines a lot), and is always willing to recieve a hug. That is why Rocky is my favorite family member, and comment down below who yours is!
