Today we had a great day in science.  Each student was given 10 pieces of popcorn.  We predicted how many we could catch in our mouths.  We then recorded the actual number of pieces caught.  Tomorrow we will be sharing our data with the class and recording our results on a bar graph.

Reminder that tomorrow is a Spelling Test for my Reading students.  We will have Spelling Test every Friday unless we are not in school on Friday. If we are not in school on a Friday the test will either be on that Thursday or the following Monday.

Today was our first day of the 2014-2015 school year.  We had a great time today getting to know each other.  We went over the classroom, the rules, and procedures.  Parents please remember to check your child’s take home folders, and agenda every night.  Please sign the agenda at the bottom.  The only homework for tonight will be for the parents to sign and return the four papers that were in the take home folders at back to school night.  If you have not signed and returned them please do so ASAP.  We had a wonderful day and I look forward to working with all of you as the year continues.

It was great to meet all of you on back to school night.  I am very excited to start the school year and look forward to working with both all my students and their parents.  I hope you all enjoyed the ice-cream social.  Monday starts our first day of school; please remember to bring your Take Home Folders back to school on Monday if you took your folder home with you on back to school night.  I want to thank all the parents for filling out all that paperwork and turning it in!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see you all on Monday!
