TDA#5 Horned Toad Prince

Answer the following question below.  (Make sure to use specific details and evidence from the book to support your answer.)

Due to her crying, we know Reba Jo feels sad in some way about loosing her hat.  Based on the illustration on pgs 120-121, how else does Reba feel about losing her hat?

Reba Jo probably also feel angry and frustrated when she lost her new cowgirl hat. The reason why I think that Reba Jo was also angry is because the illustration on page 121 Reba Jo is kicking the well. Another reason that I think Reba Jo is also angry is because on page 121 it also shows that Reba Jo is screaming in the illustration. Reba Jo kicking the well and screaming normally means someone is frustrated and angry.

TDA#4 Horned Toad Prince

Answer the question below.  ( Make sure you use your book to find specific details and evidence to support your answer.)

What deal did Reba Jo and the horned toad make?

The deal that Reba Jo and the horned toad prince was that the horned toad prince had to get Reba Jo’s cowgirl hat, but Reba Jo had to feed him chili, play her guitar, and let him sleep in her sombrero. Reba Jo said yes because she couldn’t ask her dad because he would be mad at her for going to the arroyos. The horned toad prince got to eat chili and listen to Reba Jo play her guitar then he wanted to take a nap in Reba Jo’s sombrero but Reba Jo wouldn’t let him. Since Reba Jo wouldn’t let him sleep in her sombrero the horned toad changed the deal they made. He changed the deal from sleeping in Reba Jo’s sombrero to Reba Jo kissing him and him leaving right away afterwards. I got this information from page 122 and page 127 in the book. On page 122 it tells you the deal that they made and on page 127 it tells you about him changing their deal.
