INP – Book review

For my INP I read The Rangers Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan. Overall, this book was not bad. It had an interesting plot and its setting was in a kingdom with knights, kings and queens. The story is like a mix between The Lord of the Rings and The Giver. The story’s climax was very intense and intriguing. The main Character was compelling because all he had very human motives in his life. I think that this personally held down the plot. However, this book was really choppy and had several unimportant subplots throughout the book. The Rangers Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan is the first book in the series and I personally do not want to read on. Overall the book was an easy and fun read.
