In my Keystone English class I read a very interesting short story for my short story portfolio. The name of the story was “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Ray Bradbury. I was about a nuclear bomb hitting Allendale California. After the explosion there was only one house left in the area. This story took place in the future so the house was one of the houses that did stuff for you and told you important things going on. The owners of the house were killed in the blast but there was a dog that survived. During the story the author explains how the house is still going through its daily routines even though everyone around is dead. It is really interesting and I think it would be a good story for you to read yourself.
