Yes, but I think it all depends. Like when I was in Virginia, everyone talks ‘with an accent’, or what we consider an accent. And people who live in say, Australia, refer to us as having an American accent. Of course, we think it’s normal to talk like people around us do.

Someone could also say I don’t have an accent because I sound like every other person around, but even if you do sound like those who live near you, you still have a unique voice. Like, I don’t sound like my best friend.
