Hello 4th graders and families,
My name is Mrs. Loralie Hurd and I am so excited to be teaching you this year. I am looking forward to learning and growing with you throughout the year as we work together and try our best.
Here’s a little bit of information to get to know me.
- This is my 6th year teaching in the ELANCO school district. I spent 4 years at Blue Ball Elementary teaching 3rd grade before coming to New Holland Elementary’s 4th grade team last year.
- I believe that education is very important and am always striving for ways to learn more things myself. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. Last fall, I graduated from Wilkes University with a Master’s in Classroom Technology. Now I am working on more classes as well! Hopefully, we can share this love of learning with each other during the year.
- My family is important to me and I love spending time with them. Mr. Hurd and I have an adorable little girl Eloise. She is energetic and full of happy smiles.
- I love to read, do puzzles, work outside, and play games. Some of my favorite games right now are Ticket to Ride and Dominion.
