Our first Module will have a strong focus on Place Value. We will be working with students to better understand the place of a digit in the number and its corresponding value. Another goal we will have is for our students to be able to represent a given number in standard, expanded, and word form. Our students will also be working on comparing numbers and rounding them up to the millions place. Students will be working in a variety of groups and using hands on activities to gain a better understanding of the different concepts. Students will also be using different computer programs including: ST Math and IXL to extend their learning and knowledge of the topic.
