Mrs. Hillen

Welcome Back to the 2018-2019 School Year

Hello First Grade Parents and Students!

My name is Mrs. Hillen. I am New Holland’s Support Specialist. Along with this role, I support first grade language arts instruction and I run the kindergarten ELK program. This will be my 10th year teaching. I have experience in teaching kindergarten through third grade as well as English as a Second Language. I’m very excited to be working with your students this school year!

My husband (Jeff) and I live in Lititz with our daughter, Bristol and our fur baby, Charlie. Bristol is a very active (almost) two year old. She loves to color, sing, swim, and loves anything Disney (movies and music). Charlie is a very large Goldendoodle, but he is a gentle giant. About 9 years ago, we rescued him and are so blessed that we did. He has brought so much happiness into our daily routine. This coming November, we will also be welcoming a baby boy to our family. We have been busy preparing for his arrival by getting his nursery ready.

This summer I had the joy of spending time with my daughter. We took many day trips around Lancaster County including a petting zoo, That Fish Place, Roots Market, pool days, and play dates. Our family also enjoyed a trip to Rehobeth Beach. We loved spending time with family and friends.

Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I am so blessed to be in this profession and I can’t imagine my life without it. I’m looking forward to a fun-filled year at New Holland!
