Don’t forget to add our Brecknock Book Fair dates to your calendar! On November 9-17 the Bookfair will be held in the Brecknock Elementary School Library. Our Scholastic Book Fair promotes reading with hundreds of fun, engaging, affordable books and school supplies for your family to discover. Parents may shop on Conference days and children will have the opportunity to shop during their library class period.

Makerspace!

Brecknock Elementary Library is pleased to announce a new program this year, Makerspace! What is Makerspace? Every third cycle students will be given a chance to collaborate, explore, discover and create! Students will be given materials and a challenge during Makerspace instruction. They will have to work together to solve the challenge! Our first Makerspace cycle was the first cycle of school! Take a look at what the students made.

Students had the opportunity this summer to attend Summer Library at Brecknock Elementary. For five Monday nights, students and their families could come to the Brecknock library, check out books, and participate in fun activities. Some highlights from Summer Library include a visit from former Librarian, Mrs. Putt, and a visit from some favorite Star Wars characters. Thank you so much Brecknock families for attending Summer Library! Mrs. High and I look forward to seeing all of you on the first day of school!
