Tom the Turkey

There was a turkey named Tom.                                                                                                                                                            One day he cried for his mom.                                                                                                                                                              She didn’t come cause she was gone.                                                                                                                                                    On a diner plate was Tom’s mom.                                                                                                                                                        For today was Thanksgiving.                                                                                                                                                                And she was the main course.

Helping Hand Monkey’s

Did you know that a monkey can help people who are paralyzed. They can help people with spinal cord injuries. They help with people who are paralyzed by opening doors, putting DVDs in DVD players, getting a glass of water, they can turn off lights, and they can do pretty much of what you can do.The type of monkeys that they mostly use is a capuchin monkey.  People use the capuchin monkeys because it is considered the smartest monkeys.

When you have a spinal cord injury you lose feeling and movement where the injury was and below that point ,and that is where the monkeys come in. A monkey can do things like getting a glass of water, making something for you to eat, turning lights on and off, and be your companion as well. Service monkeys are better than service dogs because they can do these things and service dogs can’t. Also they are hypo allergenic.

There is a catch though, you can’t take them out in public so get a service dog as well. The reason for that is that the monkeys can get scared in public.When they are scared they don’t perform well,but dogs are trained to handle big crowds.

          About the Axolotl

The Axolotl( Ax-oh-lot-ul) is a kind of Mexican salamander, but unlike a normal salamander the Axolotl stays underwater for its entire life. They can be up to 12 inches, and the male Axolotl weighs 125-130 grams while females can weigh 170-180 grams.They are closely related to the tiger salamander.

Characteristics

The Axolotl color can be black, molted brown, albino (Has no pigment in it), or white. The Axolotl does have lungs, but it breaths with its gill and through its skin. They remain in their larva form for their whole life. They eat tadpoles, soft insects, worms, or small fish like minnows. Also if they lose a leg it will grow completely back. They can heal almost any part of their body including their heart, liver, and kidney. They can live up to 10-15 years old.

  Health problems

They are pretty healthy animals. Some things that can kill them is stress, a deficiency in nutrients, parasites, people, and infection. Things they can’t die from are heart failure, liver failure, and kidney failure.

Blue Ball Elementary school is a very fun school to go to, there is a lot to do there at recess. Yet some kids at school have started playing frisbee. Now more kids have joined it and are now playing with the other kids who started it. Now a whole bunch of kids are playing even a teacher is playing this fun game. Now that so many kids are playing it some kids are even bringing in their own frisbees to play. Although there are some kids getting the frisbees stuck in trees. That is when one of the teachers have to come and throw a football to get it down. Now that we have too many kids playing all together and are getting hurt we had to separate it into two different groups. Now there is an uneven amount of people in  one group and still  a lot of people in the one group.But no matter how safe the teachers make it,it will still be fun. That is why everybody is still playing it.

You play it by throwing the frisbee out to the people. If someone catches it in mid air then they go up to throw it out to them and you go out with everybody else to try to catch it again. This process  goes over and over again till the end of break. So it is really not hard to play and not to many rules for it.
