Otzi was a small person and was in his 40’s. As you might know he was socially a very important person because at the time copper was very special. Otzi was not in very good health. 6 months before he died he had 3 disease. Before he went up to the mountains he had hurt his hand.

When Otzi was on his way to the mountains he had 3 layers of clothing. As he was going through the mountains he had one or more enemies. Otzi was shot from behind by an arrow. Before he died he went into shock, Otzi intensely started to sweat, his heart was beating fast which caused his to pass out. Soon after he bled to death. Archaeologist found the dead body on Otztal Alps on Italy’s border with Austria.

When scientist found the body they found out that Otzi last ate grains, deer, and goat. The scientist also found out that there was a arrow head in his left shoulder. There was also a hole in the back of his head. Scientist found that there was a unfinished bow and unfinished arrows. 5,000 years ago was when archaeologists found out about the cold case of the Iceman.
