Iceman Narrative – KBixler

A small man in his mid 40s was running up a steep mountain in search of safety. Why? He was living in northern Italy during the neolithic period when war broke out. Even though the man had 3 different diseases and had injured his hand, he was of considerable social importance. He had to run. He had to flee quickly, grabbing many tools, but not many weapons. The man was under armed in the midst of a war, this wasn’t good.

The man had been running for a while now, he had to take a break. He stopped and ate some red deer and some grains. While he was resting he heard a rustling sound behind him. He looked back, and saw a man running up the mountain towards him. He didn’t have time to grab much…he had to run. The things he did grab, he dropped along the path to slow down the enemy.  Finally he couldn’t run anymore. He looked back just in time to see the arrow flying towards him, he tried to duck, but it hit him in the left shoulder blade. He felt the arrow pierce his artery and he knew it was over.  He started to sweat uncontrollably, his heart began to race, and he was losing a lot of blood. In a few minutes he collapsed in unconsciousness. The attacker came, took the arrow, and ran. The iceman was left in the freezing cold to be found years later.
