They pay adult more now because back then kids did anything adults said so if kids are working they won’t argue with the amount of pay they are getting but if an adult is working adults have free will so they can and will argue with their boss about the pay so adults get paid more because they can argue with their boss but kids can’t.
i think this is because people cared more about adulds then they did kids.
