In the second grade, I went to a place called the Whitaker Center. I am more than happy to write a review of this awesome place! I hope this advice helps you out, and if you are going there, have a nice trip!

The Whitaker Center is in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The WC is open from Tuesday to Saturday 9:30am-5:00pm. It is closed on December 31st, New Year’s Eve; January 1st, New Years Day; January 20th, Martin Luther King Jr Day; February 17th, Presidents day; and December 24th and 25th, Christmas Eve/Day.

This place is great, but it comes at a price. There are multiple buildings in this great place, but this review is about the Science Center only. For children, admission fees are just $12.50. For adults, admission fees are just $16.00. Besides the shops, everything in the center is free to do, see, and look at! A great place to park is the Walnut Street Parking Garage. It is great because it is the recommended parking place.

But, because of all of the things, there are to do/see, I recommend you bring something to eat, drink, and take pictures with! There are many places around the Center to enjoy a nice meal. If I were you, though, I would go to a park nearby to eat. But don’t litter your trash around, because that’s no good!

The WC is an indoor place, so I recommend you wear seasonal clothing. In Harrisburg, winter is cold, so I recommend heavy clothing. In the springtime, I recommend a t-shirt and pants In the summer, I recommend a t-shirt and shorts. For fall, I recommend wearing a t-shirt, pants, and a sweatshirt. This place is in eastern-Pennsylvania, so in the summer, it is hot, in the spring it is nice and warm! In the fall, it is chilly and breezy, and winter is very cold.

The time you spend in the park is up to you. If I were you though, I would go for about 6 to 8 hours. It all depends on the things that you like in science. Almost everyone’s experience is different. One of the must-sees and must do’s is the tornado box. It is a big box with a small tornado the size of an average joe. Another activity is trying to pick up the earth! You sit on a swing like a thing to try to have your weight lift the earth. One other thing is the movie maker! You are given some toys to make a short film that you can save to your phone! Whilst it is not an activity, the gift shop is full of cool and fun things you can buy for you and/or your friends! It has things from a tiny tornado maker to awesome dinosaur toys!

In short, I believe that you should go to this awesome place! The WC is full of great activities, fun events, and much, much more! Have fun, but don’t tell anyone I told you to. If you get the chance to go there, just take it! Take it, take it, take it!
