The trip to Arkansas
I went on a trip to Arkansas last summer and saw my second cousins,second aunts,and second uncles.Let me tell you all about my trip to Arkansas.
First I went to the airport and went into the airport and it was my first time I had ever been on a airplane.I had to go thru security and I got stopped with one of my bags. My bag had a water bottle in it you are not allowed to have a water bottle in it.Then when they threw the water bottle away I was free to go. Then I went to a restaurant and had some food with my mom dad uncle and soon to be aunt.When I got out of the restaurant I went to were my plane was going to take off.I was a little worried.I could not understand what the person that was talking because he had a weird accent.They finally called our number and we started boarding the plane.I was still nervous because I didn’t know if I would get sick on the plane.We went on the plane and got in our seats and took off into the sky.
When we got all the way up into the sky I looked down thru the window and only saw clouds.I was glad I wasn’t sick because if I was I would miss the amazing view.A couple hours later we got to the airport in Chicago.A few minutes later we got on too another plane.Many hours later we got to the Arkansas Airport! My cousin Lauren was there waiting for everybody.And my uncle and my grandparents.They drove us home to my grandma and grandpa’s house in Arkansas (they also have a house in New Holland.)My other cousin was in the house my other aunt was there and their dog Baby was there waiting for us.Then later on we got unpacked and went to sleep.
Day 2 Tuesday.When I woke up I was super exited for seeing my second cousins again.They had a pool and we swam in that pool all day.My grandma said “ The pickin is tomarrow.”
I didn’t know what she meant so I asked her.
“What is a pickin?” I asked.
“A pickin is when people play music and you have food and swim,” said my grandma.Then kind of at 7:00 we went back to mr grandma and grandpa’s house.And pretty much stayed up a little late and talked about things.Then we went to bed.
Day 3 Wednesday.I woke up ate some breakfast.I went to wake up my uncle.He scared me.When everyone got up, my cousin Lauren went on my grandpa’s motorcycle .After Lauren I got on the motorcycle.After I was done we went to a restaurant.Then a couple hours later we went to the pickin.Me and my cousins Alex and Laruen put our bathingsuits on and left to go to the pickin.We met my great grandma and great grandpa and great uncle.And we saw my
second cousin also.We played in the pool for a long time until my grandma played Lauren and my favorite song from bluegrass, ( Roll in my sweet baby’s arms.) Then they played the song also from bluegrass JC Bons.When they were done playing those songs my cousin and I jumped back into the pool.When the party was over we left.When we got back home we went right to sleep.
Day 4 Thursday.I woke up and my grandma had breakfast ready for everybody.She made bacon my favorite breakfast food. Later we went to a cave ( I forget what cave we went to.)We got in the cave and, my uncle Keith he couldn’t find his keys to his car.While the tour guide was showing us around the cave all my uncle heard was “The cave is you lost your keys wide.”And he thougt he heard “The bats are their in the back.When we got out of the cave a guy my uncle asked to look for his keys was there holding my uncle Keith’s car keys.We had to walk on soap because just in case bat stuff was on our shoes.After we walked on the soap we saw baby bats sleeping in a part of the walkway on the celing.It was so cute.When we got home to my grandparents house my cousins and I got on our bathing suits and went to my second aunts pool and swam for a while.Then when it got dark we left the pool.
Day 5 Friday. I was awake and ready for the day and we left to go to the pool.We had so much fun we were diving off into the water from the diving board. I was just learning how to dive off the diving board and so were my cousin Lauren and Tatum. My older cousin was scared to dive she kept jumping into the water normally. I got it right away and now I can run and dive.When it was pretty late at night when we went home and went to bed.
Day 6 Saturday.Leaving day for my cousins.They drive home so they go home a day earlier than everyone else.We helped them put there stuff into their car.When they were done we watched them leave. I was very bored without them so I just sat down and watched TV. And then when my grandma and grandpa got back from wherever they were we went to say hi to my second aunt Teresa. Turns out they were having a party and I was invited to the party. I didn’t have a bathing suit on so I had to go home and get one. When I got to the pool again I got to go into the water.I stayed there for a little bit and then said goodbye to my second aunts, cousins and,uncles. And when I got to the house I went to sleep.
Day 7 Sunday. Now it is time for me to leave Arkansas. I got into my grandma and grandpa’s car and we drove to the Arkansas airport. The people were so nice they helped us get our tickets. Then we had to go thru security AGAIN! then when we went thru security we went to the place we had to go to,to get on the plane. When it was time we got onto the plane. It was a very small plane but, it was very fun. Then when we got off the plane we were in Texas airport. we had to literally run thru the whole airport. I felt like I was on the movie home alone (the movie is about a kid who is home alone.) But we made it. We got there in time. After that we got our luggage and we went home at around 1:00 in the morning.
