Looking for a new hair stylist/cosmetologist? It’s not just about fancy salons and abundant displays of trendy new products. What you really want is a stylist who loves what they do, is passionate about learning new things, and places client service as their number one priority. But did you know that all starts with a great knowledge base? Good cosmetology training is where you need to start in the hunt for the perfect hair stylist for you. In order to be a cosmetologist you need to complete a formal training from an accredited cosmetology program or an apprenticeship; programs may lead to to a certificate or associate’s degree. A cosmetologist has a pretty difficult job and they need to be hard working, trustworthy, and patient.

Cosmetology requires a lot of hard work. Cosmetologists can be expanded into multiple parts including cutting and chemically treating hair, chemical hair removal without a sharp blade, fashion trends, wigs, nails and skin care, skin and hair analysis; relaxation techniques including head, neck, scalp, hand and feet basic massage and aroma therapies; plus ability to expertly apply makeup applications to cover or promote and can expand into further specialties such as reflexology; theatrical applications; cosmetics and others. A cosmetologist is someone who is an expert in the care of hair and makeup as well as skincare and beauty products. They can also offer other services such as coloring, extensions, perms and straightening. Cosmetologists help their clients improve on or acquire a certain look by applying advanced trending aesthetic applications. This stuff is not easy, therefore cosmetologists need to be hardworking.

There’s actually a right and wrong way to cut and color your hair! If you want a great hairstyle that will make you look and feel beautiful, you want to make sure that the person touching your hair knows exactly what they’re doing. Your stylist may have training and a bit of experience at a school salon, but don’t you deserve more? Find out where they worked as an assistant or apprentice and where they’ve worked as a professional cosmetologist. You want a stylist who has proven to be reliable and trustworthy.

As I said before, cosmetology is not easy and it actually takes quite a bit of time to complete an entire look (depending on what they’re doing). A lot of people get their hair, nails, and makeup done for special occasions, such as prom and weddings. Cosmetologists always want to make sure that their client looks perfect, and making sure everything looks perfect takes time. So, not only the client, but also the cosmetologist needs to be patient in order to get the job done.

As you can see, in order to be a cosmetologist you need to be hardworking, trustworthy and patient.

The mountains are super fun, I go to a campground called Lost Acres Camping Resort. During the fall and spring they have mini golf, and many hiking trails. They also have that in the Summer but they also have my favorite part; the pool. The pool isn’t very big but I always have fun there with my cousin, my brothers and a few other friends I have in the campground. My family and I have campfires every night and my grandfather usually makes dinner on the grill and then we’ll make s’mores. On rainy days we watch movies, and almost every night we play a bunch of different card games. There isn’t any WiFi up in the mountains but I personally like that, because I’m ALWAYS on my phone and it’s always nice to have a break from the internet. Overall I always have fun in the mountains and I think you will too 🙂

Global goal #13 is ‘climate change’, it is very important to stop climate change in order to have a healthy & clean environment. One of the causes of climate change is the greenhouse effect, which is the warming of the earth caused when heat from the sun is trapped by carbon dioxide and methane. The greenhouse effect causes global warming, the overall increase in temperature in earth’s atmosphere. The only way to get rid of climate change altogether is to reduce the amount of harsh chemicals that we use everyday, and recycle as much as we can. We need to stop climate change as soon as possible, before we all have to deal with the consequences.

What it means to be a responsible citizen is to be very helpful in your community by cleaning up trash, trying your best to prevent waste being thrown away instead of recycled, and just overall caring about your neighborhood.

Once a year, around the beginning of october, New Holland has a parade & fair. I’ve been going to the fair for practically my entire life, but it was only a few years ago that I started going on the ‘scarier’ rides. Last year I went to the fair with my best friend Basia, and I also met up with some other friends here and there and went on a few rides with them. My favorite ride would definitely be the Zipper, it’s probably the most wild ride at the fair, Basia and I went on the Zipper AT LEAST 20 times. They also have really good food, soft pretzels, cotton candy, caramel apples, popcorn etc. I use to like the games, but the prizes are usually really small stuffed animals and I always end up losing them so I decided not to waste my money. This year the fair opens October 4, and closes October 7. My friend Jaiden and I are gonna go on Thursday or Friday and buy some tickets to go on a few rides, and then on Saturday Basia and I are getting wristbands and we’re gonna be there all day. The fair is always really fun and I cant wait to go this year.

If I could solve any global issue right now it would probably be Poverty. I think that it’s important to solve this first because if we had no poverty it could also solve other global issues all over the world. For example, if we had no poverty then everyone would have enough money to buy the stuff that they need, such as food and water, which would solve world hunger.
