Week 7 Blog Challenge My Amazing Language Arts!

                                       My Amazing Language Arts!

Today you will hear what we do at language arts.  First we come in and someone usually checks homework and agendas.  If it is Monday we did not have homework over the weekend, if it is Friday we don’t get homework over the weekends.  After that my teacher tells us what we need to do for example, work on kidbiz, student blog challenge or commenting.  My teacher is working with other students during that time at the back table.

Next, when my teacher is done with the group of students they head back to their classroom and we get started with groups.  Our teacher tells us what we need to do for example, independent works on classwork and homework, collaborative works on week 7 blog challenge.  At group with my teacher we might read week 7 blog challenge.  When we get started everyone moves it’s like traffic jam.  Once everyone is seated at their station we get started.

Then, At independent we read the power point and all of the links below on google classroom.  Google classroom is a website that your teacher can have and they can put .the class schedule for that day, and the instructions so they don’t have to waste time giving them out.  When we are done with that we work on our classwork.  Classwork is work that we do in class and it counts for your grades.  When you are done with the classwork you work on the student blog challenge.  If you are done with the blog challenge you can work on your homework.

After, at direct we work on the blog challenge if we still did not finish it.  If we finished the blog challenge then you can go commenting.  Commenting is when you go on other blogs around the world and leave a reply.  You can also get a conversation started with someone.  It is really awesome and also fun!  Sometimes we don’t do the week blog challenge we also do other things like read a book, then answer some questions about the story with your partner.

Later, We then rotate and get started at collaborative.  At collaborative we work on the student blog  if we still did not have a chance to finish it.  Sometimes we do different things at collaborative for example, we did cinquain’s and other stories.  Also cinquain’s are very fun to do because they always rhyme.  We also have a helper at collaborative, Mrs. Lenahan, she is really nice.  We also have another helper, Ms. Lewis, she is really nice to!

Last, we start to wrap up our stations and get to your assigned seat.  We have to write in our agendas, read 15 minutes and homework.  If we did not finish our classwork it is OK you can finish it at home.  So then you have to write classwork in your agenda.  Then someone comes around and checks if you wrote it in your agenda.  The next day someone comes around and checks if you did your homework and read 15 minutes your parents have to sign your agenda every night so the make sure that you read 15 minutes.  That is how language arts goes for me.
