As his Dad started the van, an alien jumped off the roof and landed behind the van. Sally screamed. Derek put a clip on his Nerf, aimed and pulled the trigger. It obviously did not, you know, kill the alien, but it knock the alien off his feet. Derek’s Dad slammed his foot on the gas and they took off at 180 mph! Soon they were on a bridge, going at about 150 mph. All of a sudden a giant robot took out the bridge. Their Dad hit the brakes. “We’re not gonna make it!” Sally said. Their Dad somehow managed to make the van jump over the gap. “That was close!” Derek said. “Yeah.” said sally. They continued to go down the road. Derek’s phone got connection again. He checked the news. “All survivors, attention! Head down to Orlando, Florida! You will be safe there. ” Orlando!?!?” Derek said. “We are still in Minnesota!” To be continued…
